Automated Vehicle Locating System (AVLS) is an innovative technology used by DHES to determine and transmit the geographic location of a specific vehicle, fleet or workforce by Global Positioning System (GPS) technology utilisation. The other purpose of tracking is to provide graded service or to manage a large driver and crewing staff effectively.

Using an AVLS, It allows to evaluate the locations of all vehicles in service together with their drivers and other crew members in order to monitor their work. This system enables live, 24/7 monitoring that ensures all activities are according to schedule. It is also to maximize the efficiency and safety of the field workers.
